Three-time Group One winner Greatest Solution returns to action from the Sun Racing September Stakes at Kempton on Saturday.
A to get Saeed bin Suroor he won Grosser Preis Von Baden, Grosser Preis Von Berlin and also the Princess of Wales’s Stakes prior to going to Australia.
His winning spree lasted in the Caulfield Cup with a slim victory, but he hasn’t been seen since finishing eighth at the Melbourne Cup in November.
“This will be his first race since the Melbourne Cup,” stated the Godolphin handler.
“He had a great season last year, but also an extremely challenging season, so we gave him a very lengthy break and this is merely a return to him.
“We will start with him, he’s working really well. The last time he labored in Newmarket to the Watered gallop, ” I was happy.
“He is in good condition, this can be the beginning for him until we start to check in Group Ones again.
“He is not likely to Australia this past year – we’ll only keep all of our options open. We’ll see how he runs in this and decide on his future.”
The other runner is Andrew Balding’s Pivoine, who had his last outing in America, where he wasn’t disgraced in place in the Arlington Million.
He had won the John Smith’s Diamond Jubilee Cup at York.
“He appears to have his trip to America very well,” said Balding.
“He has shape around the Polytrack. Whether he is quite as great at a half as he is at a distance and a quarter,” I don’t know, but we will realize that out”
Roger Varian saddles two in Gibbs Hill, who ran well to finish in a race at York and Rasima, a Recorded winner last year who has failed to reproduce that this particular term.
“Gibbs Hill conducted well at York. He appears to be well in the home and has got good synthetic shape. He likes the trail along with the excursion, but we will only have to see how he moves,” said Varian.
“Rasima hasn’t really fired this season, but you might argue her two runs at the Hoppings Stakes at Newcastle are her very best bits of lifetime form.
“Hopefully the Kempton surface may see her run very nicely, but she’s got a little to find about the characters.
“We’re trying the mile and a half . It has not quite panned for her the trip might cause a little advancement, although because we liked or it might not, but we will find out. It is a fantastic race and she will require a career ”
Hugo Palmer’s Mootasadir yields from a break with lost his unbeaten record when stepping up to two miles at the Northumberland Plate – a race where Gibbs Hill was a powerful fancy that is ante-post off an absence of 724 times but was hauled up.
The globetrotting Prince Of Arran (Charlie Fellowes) is another to drop trip after a solid run from the Ebor, as he continues to build towards a return visit to Australia.
